So the public have spoken and this year’s X-Factor winner is James Arthur. And his debut single? Well, of course it’s a cover and this time it’s a cover of Shontelle’s Impossible.
Sadly we think that this will appeal to his fans who voted him through. It has nothing on the original and there to be honest, having painfully watched each week, we can’t hear anything new that we didn’t hear in the first week and there only seems to be one sound that he can make. Even the fact that a cut of each single is going to Together For Short Lives (the same charity that the X Factor Finalists recorded a song for last year) can’t make us like this.
Still, only time will tell if he really does have the X factor and no doubt his fans will support him in whatever he does.
