It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from the Southampton singer, but now she’s gearing up for the release of her second album by debuting the single, Body Talk.

To be honest, there’s not much here that hasn’t been heard previously from her but yet there is still enough to make it different as we see a small move into a more pop sound (disco/80s seems to be in this year…wonder if she took a trip on the TARDIS to be inspired by this). There just feels to be this There’s just the right change as to show that she’s not a one style pony yet not forget the sound that brought her to the attention on the public.

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the album will sound like if this is anything to go by (although, is it wrong we’d secretly like to see her version of Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now making an appearance?)

Foxes // Holding Onto Heaven

Bright melodies, strings and voice similar to Florance (of & the Machine) make the 3rd single from British singer Foxes

It’s got a an old school feel to it without being old school. It makes for easy listening and you’ll probably find yourself joining in with the chorus, even if it is just to sing a long with the ‘Oooohhhh’s.

Our own quibble is that 3 songs in, we’re starting to feel very familiar with and seem to be hearing the same thing with just a few tweaks. Question on our mind is, can she keep this up?

Foxes // Let Go For Tonight

The last time we came across Foxes was last year when her song Youth was used on a winter campaign for a department store in the UK. Now her next song from her album is Let Go For Tonight

The song is exactly what the title says, about letting go, doing what you want or simply, going against you normal routine. It’s a more up beat, pop song than the last offering and whilst the idea behind the song is nothing new but there is something about this song that we can being a favourite to get the weekend started.

A good start to 2014 for this artist. Will be interesting to see where she goes next.

We’ve only just  came across this artist and we admit that it’s once again through the power of television advertising. Foxes’ song Youth is featured on the latest advert for department store Debenhams whilst at the same time, featuring on the latest track by Rudimental Right Here, Right Now.
