Alphabeat // Love Sea

Alphabeat Love Sea Artwork

Love Sea is the second single to be lifted from the Danish groups forthcoming album, titled Express Non-Stop.

The single isn’t what we were expecting from the group after their previous release Vacation. It’s a nice little tune which gives us a reminder of songs from around the 70s/80s (in fact, the chorus melody sounds very like Whitney Houston’s How Will I Know with a bit of Boy Meets Girls Waiting For A Star To Fall). It’s not a mad dash to the finish line, more like a gentle skip along a sea-front.

The track might surprise those used to the synth sound, but it’s a nice little change and perfect for the season

Alphabeat // Vacation

It’s been two years since the release of The Beat Is… but now Danish group Alphabeat are back with their brand new single, Vacation.

It follows their well known synth sound and reminds us why we all loo forward to the holidays. However, we can’t help but feel that we’ve heard this before from them (our initial though is that it’s a happier key from Hole In My Heart) and that there’s doesn’t seem to be anything new here.

It’s a bright pop song that sounds different from the current sound at the moment, but we’ve got a feeling that it’s going to slip under the radar

DJ (I Could Be Dancing) is the third single to be taken from the group's second album, The Beat Is... and for the purpose of this release has been given a single remix.

The track is a tad different from the heavy electronic sounds of previous singles, but still maintains the sounds that the Danish six piece are known for without deviating too far from their sound. It's a catchy little number and certainly one that you'll sound find yourself singing and dancing along to, even if your not a fan. It's maybe not going to be a great hit, but it's certainly one that will get people on the dance floor
