Has it been 2 years since Cheryl’s last solo release? No matter how long it’s been, she’s back and previewing her latest single, Crazy Stupid Love featuring Tinie Tempah.

Now, we admit that her previous releases haven’t rated highly with us but we’re always willing to give another chance. Sadly though, this song is doing nothing for us.It feels like a mish mash of things in the hope that it works. We’re really struggling to understand the whole point of the Sax solo. It just feels sort of out of place. And Tinie’s rap section…it just about saves this from completely drowning.

That said, we do recommend checking out the WestFunk & Steve Smart remix of the track which, in our opinion, is the better of the two.

Is it likely to do anything? Maybe Maybe not. But with it not being released until next month, is it possible that people will be driven crazy stupid by the time it comes around?

The second single to be lifted from A Million Lights comes in the form of Under The Sun for Cheryl

Yes it seems to be a nice little summery song that you could imagine listening to just chilling out the back or driving along a long winding road. Sadly, after one verse and chorus, the song seem to drag. The melody never seems to go anywhere and nether does Cheryl’s voice. It almost feels monotone and each syllable accentuated

Is it number 1 single material? We don’t think so but no doubt fans will flock to it.

Cheryl // Call My Name

It’s been a while since Cheryl (no Cole) has had anything out  and she’s been very quiet too. Too quiet probably some people would say. Well, ahead of her new album, A Million Lights we have new single, Call My Name.

So it seems that electronic dancy tracks seem to be the order at the moment. Once again, we’ve got another generic track. It feels repetitive; the chorus itself is sung twice each time and the verses appear to follow the same syllable format.  Add to that the digital wizardry on her vocals…

Cheryl fans will be rejoicing whilst others will be groaning.
