If Tears For Fears and The Pet Shop Boys had a child, Hurts would likely be the one. Wonderful Life is the first proper release for the British Synth-pop group. If you're a Sky customer, then you'll likely already have heard one of their songs for Sky1 HD (Illuminated).
The song itself is almost story like about a man saved from committing suicide (sounding a little Eminem here (Stan). The chorus although simplistic (Don't Let Go/Never Give Up/It's Such A Wonderful Life) is memorable and catchy. In fact, if you closed your eyes and listened to the song, then you'd almost swear that you were back in the 80's.
Overall, it's a nice little tune and brilliant to see something different rather than the generic sounds that seem to be flooding the charts as the moment. Hopefully this is a group that is going to be around for a while
